Growing Opportunities for The Visually Impaired
The Low Vision Coalition (LVC) of Allen County was started in 2015 in conjunction with the Sight Center of Northwestern Ohio. At that time, our primary goal was to connect clients in Allen county with the services the Sight Center provides to its 16 county service region. In the years since we began, we’ve grown that mission in a number of exciting and important ways. As of 2022, LVC has hosted several events for visually-impaired people, including: employment fairs, blind bowling, blind self defense, nature hikes, cookouts, a trip to COSI, and we are now proud to present our 1st Annual LVC Dinner in the Dark!
